The training grounds at Cantonigros
ONE LAST GAME

Saturday, 12 August

BARCELONA, Spain _ Eleven straight days of training nearly twice each day is a lot. And Jorge that it also was enough.

Los Promesos were given most of the day off, free to sleep in _ as most relished, with only an hour's futsal tournament-style practice late in the afternoon.

With the help of Marc, the manager of Mussol _ the restaurant around the corner on Avinguda Diagonal serving most of the meals, Paul located a local health club 10 minutes walk from the hotel, complete with exercise equipment, a pool and _ of course _ a futbol sala court.

Many in the group found it rather unique to train on the roof of a building in the middle of the city.

After jogging them in like Marines in boot camp (sans cadence), Jorge quickly started a couple of quick drills and then had the campers choose up sides.

The Yellows of Casey Doyle, Matt and Dave Mangone, Laura Greb, Drew Magee and Paul Ehrenworth started out with three straight victories but then faded, leaving it to the Reds and the Blues to come down to one final game for the title.

The title match ended in a draw forcing the Reds, including the "Vineland Four" of Eric Ciancaglini, Seumas Trull, Luke Bencie and Matt Macey along with Collin Hayes, to prevail on penalties.

The hour-long session seemed to pass too quickly for some, as has the past two weeks. With Saturday night's trip up the mountain washed out by rain, only Sunday's "beep" test remains before preparing to go home.
